Blossom Birth Art

Ready to prepare for your birth in a radical way.

Process your birth in a radical way?

Support an amazing Austin-based birthing community non-profit?

Set aside 1 hour to dive into your creative self and discover your wisdom, strengths, and curiosities.

  • Great for first time pregnant people but also wonderful if you have given birth or parent and want to try something new

  • Excellent as childbirth preparation and during your postpartum period to process your birth and parenting

  • Officially recognized Birthing from Within course

  • Designed as a deeply personal way to prepare for your birth and prepare for parenting or as you reflect on the birth you just had

  • Participants will use pastels and paper and draw from various prompts. You can also use crayons or markers.

  • This is different than art therapy and no artistic skills are required

  • The process of making art is used as a tool to prepare for birth or process your birth so no need to share any final product

Each artistic endeavor is a journey of self-discovery, practicing leaning into discomfort, surrendering to the unknown, and letting the creative ‘self’ guide you. I facilitate this exploration; I will not assess or diagnose based on any person’s artistic creation.

Although she had brought the colors of the daylight sky to comfort her, Aurora found that she was not afraid in the dark place of the indigo sky. She now understood Grandmother’s mysterious words. Together again, Aurora and her family celebrated her journey with the caribou, which had led Aurora to discover courage and her own inner light
